Today the new recruits went on the simulator and lewis was putting the car on a diet by drilling holes in stuff<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14\/11\/24<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of out new recruits are in the simulator learning lines and becoming as fast as possible. Others have been building us some new battery boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2\/11\/23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we had some new year 7’s turn up as we have now finished the finals we are in the recrutment stage for the next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

05\/01\/23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some students were testing parts of the sim and fault finding on the simulator, to improve the driving training.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our drivers were checking the calendar for upcoming races and looking where they are, to understand the track layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purple Team were rebuilding the rear sub frame on purple, to improve the aerodynamics, the aim is to lengthen the back and make it smaller. Harvey, a former purple driver was explaining about the technical faults he experienced during his race at Goodwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At our purple team they are rebuilding a new-subframe for the back of the car after a nasty crash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our sim team: are adding a throttle switch to the handlebars for the finishing touches before they assemble it all together <\/p>\n\n\n\n

19\/01\/23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI hate things dragging on\u201d Purple Team leader. Yet another sad day on Purple.  Unfortunately the building work has not been going very well, even with the help of his team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dWe\u2019ve got a plan!\u201d Bluebird Team Leader assures us, talking about the future aero gains, for a minimal amount of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

X team leader, tells us about the struggles of working with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), and how that\u2019s affected his progress today. Problems from last week have been partially solved, however the journey ahead could be challenging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drivers explain that they\u2019re \u201ccutting metal\u201d, as they work on the brackets for the monitor on the simulator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

26\/01\/2023<\/strong>        <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purple team today are putting on the rear subframe onto the car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

X team today are doing the steering and are doing all of the plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The simulator team is working on mounting the monitor to the simulator rig. They are attaching a wooden slab to the frame and placing the monitor to the wooden slab with door hinges. That\u2019s so we can fold it to store easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
